ZIBA PICKS WINNER
On August 19th 2006, Ayushka Gharib became the 1st Miss Teen India America winner. The pageant was held in Oakland, California and featured hundreds of applicants and 18 semi-finalists. Not only was she sponsored by Ziba Beauty, but she was also accompanied by Ziba Chief Education Executive Suman Patel and Artistic Director Oscar Naranjo who styled her for the event. Ayushka also took the Miss Photogenic award, and was thrilled with her new victories. THREADING BILL PASSED! - AB 1793
AB 1793, by Assembly member Rudy Bermudez, is very simple and narrow in scope. The bill revises the definition of threading to include the possible trimming of eyebrow hair. The bill also extends the sunset date to July 2008. AB 1793 passed the Senate floor on Thursday, August 11. The bill received 36 out of 40 votes. On August 23rd, Governor Schwarzenegger passed the AB 1793 bill. (4) Trimming of eyebrows passed!

MEHNDI, ANYONE?
What do Beverly Hills and tennis have in common with henna art? More than you think. As a super star sponsor of Summer Splash and Pro-Am Tennis Tournament 2006, Ziba Beauty set up shop, serving up a menu of henna art and designs to more than 700 guests at the Al Mann Residence. The lively event with its trio of celebrity co-chairs raised more than a $150,000 for promising yet economically-disadvantaged students to get the college education they deserve. With 100% of the proceeds going to the Los Angeles Free Clinic, the July 15th event, drawing a predominantly Westside audience from Santa Monica to Malibu and beyond, proved to be the ideal venue for Ziba Beauty to donate its time and talent.
