Wowed
by our 14 semi-finalists, the Ziba family, celebrity judges,
guests and onlookers took in these fabulous near-professionals
as part of a two-segment fashion show. All eyes were on the
young women as they owned the catwalk in evening gowns followed
by Indian finery.
Narrowed
from more than 200 applicants, the girls shined in front of
an international panel of judges including interior designer
Jas Nakaoka, actress Purva Bedi, NBC Passions star Liza Huber
and Dhanesh Bhindi of Bhindi Jewelers. Each young lady embodied
the qualities Ziba was looking for—poised, ebullient
and camera-ready. As Sumita Batra added, “We were seeking
an international look and feel because our customers have
become so multi-national, and our Ziba Girl represents our
image.”

To
top of the extravaganza, Ziba Beauty announced its Face of
2006: Yvonne Ramirez, our new Ziba Girl, was welcomed by thunderous
applause. She graciously shared the stage for an introduction
with Tharini Shanmugarjah, the second grand prize winner for
the revered Bhindi Jewelers’ The 2006 Face of Bhindi.
By
the end of the very special evening, everyone reveled in the
energy and excitement, and each contestant felt a winner in
her own right.
